Another Addition to the Nursery While We Excitedly Wait for the Last Addition to Arrive

Since our little guy hasn't come yet to be the "last addition" to the nursery, we've found yet another addition, although a whole lot less exciting, to help us pass the time while we wait for the little guy for whom we've done all this decorating in the first place....

After putting up the animal photos and other wall hangings in our baby's nursery last week, I felt that something else was needed in the wall space between the toy box and the wardrobe. Last Saturday afternoon, we found the perfect thing! Olli was out grocery shopping with me (a wonderful, but rare occurrence) and I convinced him to come with me to one of the baby stores next to the grocery store to "look around". I guess that is a dangerous thing to do these days because looking has often turned into buying. :-) This time it was Olli who discovered this great find! It's a wall hanging intended to be used to measure a growing child. Okay so we know we won't use this for awhile, but it's nice to look at, fills the blank space that we needed it to and (surprise, surprise) goes with our Safari Animal theme.

Here's the thing...we can't decide whether it's a giraffe or a zebra. It has the coloring of a giraffe and the markers for measuring the height of the child are leaves (like giraffes eat), but it has stripes like a zebra and a mane instead of "horns" on the top of its head. Talk about confusing! Maybe you all can weigh in and help us decide what it is so that our child doesn't grow up confused. :-) Does anyone know if there are any brown and beige zebras in the world?
