Fun with the Moore Family

We have spent the last two weekends with the Moore Family.  They have been our friends from early Colorado days, but since they recently moved to Massachusetts, we have been able to see them more often. Our kids are very similar ages, so it's especially fun to get our families together whenever possible.

On Saturday, June 1st, we traveled together to the Maritime Heritage Center in Gloucester, MA, where we heard whale calls, learned about various types of ships and experienced the fun of their marine life touch tanks!  After learning about scuba diving through the ages and having lunch at a great seafood restaurant, we drove to Rockport, MA, in Cape Ann to walk around the docks.  The day ended on a beach near the Moores' home.  The day couldn't have been more delightful!

The following weekend, we went to the Moores' home to celebrate their daughter's birthday.  She had a Minnie Mouse themed party and the kids enjoyed playing in a tent set up in their back yard, getting temporary tattoos and rollerskating.

Lukas is learning about the underside of a skate--we saw one just like this being eaten by seagulls when we visited the cape for my birthday weekend
