Lukas started eating solids with a spoon last week (Okay, I admit, his mommy holds the spoon for him and the food is more mushy than solid, but it's still very exciting.)! He has tried rice cereal, carrots and sweet potatoes so far and I have several orange-stained bibs and onesies to prove it!
I think carrots are his favorite at this point because he readily and eagerly opens his mouth for each spoonful. He had sweet potatoes for the first time today and he likes them too, but took longer to feel and taste them in his mouth before asking for the next spoonful. Maybe that's also because I cooked and pureed the potatoes myself and they seem just a tad thicker than the carrots I fed him from a jar of baby food. Olli hopes to upload some videos of Lukas soon and one will certainly be of him eating his carrots!
