Lukas' First Trip to Hannover, Germany

Lukas and I just returned from an almost 3 week visit with Olli's parents in Hannover from the 28th of January to the 15th of February. Olli was away on 3 different business trips for a total of 13 days during that period of time so Lukas and I decided to spend time with Oma and Opa rather than stay home alone. We had a wonderful time and were very spoiled while we were there!

We went on lots of walks in the "forest" across from Oma's and Opa's as well as the Maschsee (a nearby lake), were treated to delicious meals every day and often had yummy "Kaffee und Kuchen" in the afternoons. Opa babysat Lukas a couple of times so that I could go shopping with Beate (Oma) and even to a special circus event one evening. Olli was able to fly in for one of the weekends and we were able to get away one evening to celebrate an early Valentine's Day together just the two of us, which was a real treat. All in all, it was a great trip!
