Christmas and New Year's in Hannover

We had a great time in snowy Germany with Olli's family. We took advantage of the wintry weather and went sledding several times, drank lots of Glühwein and enjoyed the warmth of gathering around a fresh Christmas tree with real candles and our extended family.

One very jet-lagged, but extremely calm baby. Could it be because her Papa is gently stroking her back?

Lukas after opening his first "real" Christmas gift even though he had two gift opening celebrations before this with my family in CO and with us in Boston before flying to Germany

Isabel's first "real" Christmas gift--"walking" wooden animals

Sledding at Tante Steffi and Onkel Jochen's house--Cousins Sophia and Julius were helping Isabel go back up the hill after her very first "solo" ride

Lukas helping to tow the line as well--one of the rare times we managed to get all four cousins in one camera frame!
