Easter Vacation in Wachenheim

We just got back from Wachenheim, Germany to visit Olli's sister, Steffi, and her family for almost a week. It was a very special time. This will most likely be the last time we ever visit Wachenheim since Steffi and her family are moving to Arpke, near Hannover, in a few weeks. Here are a few photos of our time together.
Lukas feeding a goat
Lukas with a big smile after the goat licked his hand
Lukas and Sophia giving each other a big hug

All of us, except Olli who took the photo, at the dinner table eating a Southern German specialty, Dampfnudeln.
Lukas operating a digger in a large sandbox at a special
outdoor park we visited (I guess that holding his mouth
open helps concentration :-) )

Lukas and Sophia holding hands

Lukas and Sophia climbing on a wall on one of our walks--a favorite activity of theirs
Here we are making batter for yummy waffles

This is the smile that Lukas makes when we ask him to "Say Cheese"

Lukas and Sophia hanging out in a playpen "tent" they made

Being silly

All dressed in outdoor gear (courtesy of Tante Steffi) for an Easter-egg hunt and playing in the sandbox

Finding a chocolate rabbit

Lukas, Sophia and her brother Julius playing in the sand after the Easter-egg hunt was over. They didn't even give the candy and other goodies a second thought after the hunt.

Three adorable little kids!

Isabel just before vacation

This is Isabel just after the vacation. She learned how to hold her head up this high while in Germany. She's now 10 weeks old--I can't believe how fast she's growing up!
